moor woke up and discovered he was in a steel corridor with many different hallways. at random intervals he found portholes made of thick dark glass. through the glass he could only see the dim glow of colors. most of the colors were gray and blue. he was fascinated and aroused by one porthole revealing a pinkish hue. You step outside to feel the breeze, and to leave the chair you have been in for hours. Your eyes beg for a change of scenery. You’re welcomed by immediate discomfort in the form of echoing sirens, this only reinforces your reclusiveness.

The breaking point is not struck often with this one, if ever. Such a timid, yet foundational fragment of the machine. Today was that day. So many days spent pining for this.
“What would be the event that makes him snap?” No tip? Another customer so uncomprehensibly stupid it makes his brain hurt? A co-worker who cannot fully grasp the concept of a simple minimum wage job forcing him to pick up the slack? A soulless, corporate visitor who bears the image of everything wrong with this world? I wish it was one of those.
