The second installment starts in seattle this time. With a montage of video and pictures taken during the 8 days we stayed there and with audio from jams that we played and recorded intermingled throughout. The music that we recorded in seattle is throughout videos 4,5, and 6 and was recorded at Sonny Mishras house and who also played guitar in several tunes.
500 gigabytes of footage and field recordings taken during a two week hitchhike adventure from San Francisco to Seattle and back. While the task of editing may seem daunting with so much media, it basically comes down to fitting the pieces together and cutting the fat to make them fit smoothly. Continue reading »
Tomorrow evening I will be on a flight heading to Washington DC after having been in India since Nov 1. Its evening now, the repair to the bike ended up being more than a repair. A frankensteinian creation with the only original part being the wheels and the rest salvaged from other cycles. As I ride it back to the coconut mans village in the dark I notice the pedal alignment is off, the hard plastic seat is already causing discomfort, and the bike is too tall for me. But alas It was too late to go back now, tomorrow I set off for the 200km or 120 mi ride to Bangalore. Continue reading »
