The second installment starts in seattle this time. With a montage of video and pictures taken during the 8 days we stayed there and with audio from jams that we played and recorded intermingled throughout. The music that we recorded in seattle is throughout videos 4,5, and 6 and was recorded at Sonny Mishras house and who also played guitar in several tunes.
Tomorrow evening I will be on a flight heading to Washington DC after having been in India since Nov 1. So what then are my thoughts as the hour approaches to depart this foreign land for my home land, and most importantly will I be able to answer the question Im asked almost daily:Why did you go to India? As I step out into the bright light to pee searching my brain for the right write for todays posting I copy and paste the most striking of thoughts brought to me as of late.
I found myself asking myself how did I get here and more importantly why am I here? As I sit the deck of a houseboat on Dal Lake in Srinagar Kashmir sipping tea. Those answers came to me over the next couple of days. But lets go back to the start. Continue reading »
